There are different traders taking part each day. Look out for a range of limited edition products created by our makers for Design Circus! 

Alongside the makers market, Emy Gray of BRIXI has curated her very own circus troupe for the event. BRIXI’s loyal troupe of artists, designers and free-thinkers will be performing, installing and getting you in the spirit of DESIGN CIRCUS.

All of the following installations / activities will be taking place across both days.

Installations:
Rebekah McMullan of Forgotten Stitches is hand-stitching us a whole circus troupe! Expect trapeze artists and lion tamers.

Local textile designer, Brian Merry is producing a giant clown-printed floor cushion for weary shoppers to lounge on.

Karolina Merska of Bobbin and Bow will construct a giant copper and brass pajak (traditional Polish chandelier).

Stephen Wright will bring a little piece of his infamous ‘House of Dreams’ Museum to the show.

Fashion stylist Francesco Colucci will be dressing Squire & Partners’ marble mannequins in his ubiquitous upcycled couture style.

Exhibits:
Artist, Abe Odedina will be producing an original painting especially for the circus.

Local artist Tom Berry will be producing a one-off, freestanding art piece called 'Old Tom', inspired by the Gin Cats of the 1700s.  

Chelsea graduate, Tascha Young will be exhibiting her miniature wooden Venus sculptures. 


Performance:
Amy Douglas will be introducing "May Chablis, palm reader extraordinaire and her lovely companion, Clara Garnet, shamanic priestess of the highest calibre. Ms Chablis shall read your palm and Ms Garnet will clarify and bring guidance. They can, see into the future so know, you will be there. £5 a palm : Terms and conditions apply.

Ceramicist Kinska will be performing her tiny puppet show featuring her alter-ego Queenska.

Self-styled professor/evangelist Stephen Stockbridge will be undertaking an interactive performance piece, as the "Inflator of hope and the deflator of despair".


Interactive Events / Workshops:
Pop up characters is a fun workshop inspired by Lisa Stickley's new book My New Room, a light-hearted tale that teaches children about the big adventure of moving into a new room. Little ones can make a pop up characters based on Edith and the toys she takes with her to her new room. (Saturday only).

Karolina from Bobbin and Bow is also hosting a day-long workshop giving visitors the opportunity to construct their own pajak (Polish chandelier). Pre-booking required. BOOK HERE for Saturday. 

Jeweller Rachel Eardley will be making personalised coin silhouette necklaces whilst you wait. 

Viktorija from AndSmile will be offering 10 minute portraits in her signature style with a special Design Circus inspired outline. 


Refreshments:
Local chef Sherri Dymond will be serving up circus inspired fare via roving vendors. 
Ferndale Road neighbours, Volcano Coffee with be providing hot drinks.
