Manmade, an event to celebrate the lesser-spotted male maker was brought to you by Crafty Fox Market, Etsy and Mr Wingate in 2015.

Manmade is an event conceived by textile designer Sam Wingate (Mr Wingate).  Regular visitors to Crafty Fox Market will know Sam from his popular screen-printing workshops.

‘If you look around a craft fair like the Crafty Fox, the number of women selling far exceeds the number of men’ says Sam. This highlighted a gap for him, ‘I want to get more men involved with making and selling and dispel the myth that craft and making is just for the girls.'

Manmade included:

  • A marketplace showcasing male makers & artists.
  • Talks by inspirational designers.
  • Making workshops
  • Live art
  • The Rhytym Parlour barber & beard trims
  • Craft beer bar
  • Crafty Fox DJs
  • Street food by French & Grace
