Meet our guest curators: Christmas Markets

For each of our markets, we work with invited guest curators to help make stall selections. Due to high demand, these are never easy decisions. Each curator brings with them their unique taste which helps to keep our events fresh for the visitors.

This year, we are running three Christmas Markets in Brixton (Dogstar), Peckham (CLF Art Cafe - Bussey) and our new venue, Farr's in Dalston. Apply here.

We will be working with guest curators Supermarket Sarah, Kate Burt and Emy Gray.  Here's a little about each of them....

Supermarket Sarah

supermarket sarah.jpg is an online department store which allows creatives to sell and merchandise a curated selection of pieces in a uniquely personal style. Items are placed on real walls and users simply click and buy.

The “walls” started in Sarah’s living room but have now spread to galleries, shop fronts, bars, receptions. Sarah has had a store in the shape of a ten meter long wall on the ground floor of Selfridges London. The walls have taken on collaborative formats and so far Sarah has worked with brilliant designers including Fred Butler, Patternity, Donna Wilson, Tatty Devine, Tom Dixon, Kirstie Allsopp and many more, forming a super network of fresh talent.

Supermarket Sarah has become the place to go for inspirational delights and is regularly featured in media across the board, from Style Bubble to the BBC News.

Sarah's Book Wonder Walls, Supermarket Sarah's Guide to Display is out now, published by Cico Books.

Kate Burt - Your Home is Lovely

kate new profile.jpg

Kate Burt is a journalist and editor who contributes to publications including the Guardian, the Simple Things and the Independent, where she long wrote a weekly Sunday interiors column. She is obsessed with nice houses – a passion undimmed even though she's been doing up her own for more than six years. Kate is also passionate about affordable style, and blogs on the topic at her website:

Emy Gray - Brixi

At the heart of Brixton Village Market, Emy Gray has run BRIXI since 2011 - a shop come gallery space that has always championed emerging local designers, makers, artists and doers. Born from a love of trawling junk shops and fusty museums, BRIXI has at its heart a love of beautifully made objects. Best described by a customer as ‘ a museum where you can touch stuff...’ Purpose and practicality stand no chance in this shop - beauty always wins out! This is the second time Emy has been a Crafty Fox guest curator and we are delighted to welcome her back again.

Apply HERE for your chance to sell at our Christmas Markets.

If you have been trading for less than 12 months, you may like to apply for Crafty Fox Uncovered which includes reduced price stalls and a mentor.
