2015 - what a year!

As the dust settles after the New Year celebrations and our thoughts turn to the year ahead, it's also a good time to look back and reflect on all that happened in 2015. It was quite a year for Crafty Fox Market. Here are just a few of our highlights.......

Markets, markets and more markets! We ran more events than ever before in 2015 with a total of 11 events across the year, welcoming in excess of 35,000 visitors.

Crafty Fox Talks - we kicked off the year with an inspiring crowd funding talk at the MOO HQ, followed by a really interesting 'in conversation' event with illustrator Sandra Dieckmann at the Hoxton Hotel.

#CraftyDrinks - the Crafty Fox community grew with the launch of our regular #CraftyDrinks - fun, inclusive meetups with the simple aim of bringing creative folk together to meet one another and make new connections. A highlight was August's packed meet-up at Magma in Covent Garden hosted by Ruth & Brendan from I Am Acrylic who did a great job with a crafty name-badge workshop.

Collaborations - we love a good collaboration and 2015 was a great year for us. In June we partnered with etsy.com to deliver Manmade - a celebration of 'men who make' at the Truman Brewery.  After months of work, it was brilliant to see this event take shape and to see the variety of work on show. As big fans of the London Illustration Fair, we were excited by the opportunity to 'hijack' an area of their most ambitious event yet at the Bargehouse on the Southbank in December. The event ran over 3 days and included a packed-out launch party. We hosted 16 traders and workshops with stunning views of the river.  Find photos on our facebook page.

New Venues - much time is spent behind the scenes at Crafty Fox HQ sourcing venues. In September, we took part in London Design Festival for the first time with a special event at Kachette in Shoreditch. This beautiful venue is actually a former train station - full of atmosphere and a great location. Check out the photos on our facebook page.

We also ran two Christmas Night markets - one at the Museum of London Docklands and our biggest event yet at the Geffrye Museum in Hoxton. Find photos here via facebook.

5th Birthday - Sat 5 December was a big day for Crafty Fox - we were proud ambassadors for the nationwide Small Business Saturday campaign and we were also celebrating our 5th Birthday with a market at the Dogstar in Brixton, where it all began! We welcomed record numbers through the doors.
