This Christmas, Crafty Fox Market returns to The British Library on 14th and 15th November for a weekend celebrating independent makers, designers and artists. We’re bringing together a carefully curated mix of handmade jewellery, ceramics, art prints, sustainable fashion and unique gifts, perfect for ticking off your Christmas shopping list while supporting small businesses.
But beyond the stalls, there’s an invitation to get creative and embrace the festive spirit. Visitors can roll up their sleeves and take part in a programme of hands-on Christmas workshops, offering the chance to learn new skills, discover different crafts and make something special to take home. Whether you’re looking to create a thoughtful handmade gift, enjoy a festive activity with friends or simply take a little time for yourself during the busy Christmas season, these creative experiences are the perfect way to make your visit even more memorable.

3.00-4.30pm - Latte Candle Making with In The Mood For (£46.50)
Make your own soy wax candle and create your own fragrance blend? Whether you're a coffee lover, matcha enthusiast or ube fan, this beginner-friendly workshop is a chance to get creative and make a Latte candle that's uniquely yours.
Sunday 15 November
11.30-1.00pm - Needle Felted and Embellished Stars with Woolly Natured (£38.62):
Guided by Louise from Woolly Natured, in this workshop at The British Library you will create beautiful needle felted stars and embellish them with beads. This is a beginner friendly workshop and you will learn the basics of needle felting. All materials are included and you will take home your handcrafted decorations

Wooden Mushroom Ornament Painting Workshop with AMPellegrini Art & Design (£29.00 or £53.00 for 2):
Get into the festive spirit with a relaxed, beginner-friendly painting workshop led by Anna-Maria! Inspired by woodland treasures including toadstools, pine cones and holly berries, you’ll use acrylic paints and metallic markers to create your own hand-painted wooden Christmas decoration to take home. Perfect for a little festive creativity!

The Art of Sashiko: Stitch Your Own Set of Four Coasters with MikaBonBon (£44.04)
Join us for a calm, hands-on introduction to Sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery technique. Led by Japanese textile artist Mika Sembongi, this 1.5-hour in-person workshop will introduce you to the art of mindful stitching, where creativity meets the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.
You'll begin stitching your own set of four Sashiko coasters during the session, learning the techniques you need to complete them at home.
Your ticket also includes a Sew Your Own Sashiko Coasters kit (worth £30), containing everything you need to complete your set of four coasters at home. The kit includes templates, step-by-step instructions, needles, threads, marking pens and fabrics.
