Meet the Step Up Class of 2026

Meet the Step Up Class of 2026

Step Up is a new development programme from Crafty Fox Market designed to support early career artists, makers and designers as they take their next step.

Scroll down to meet the 11 creatives we’ll be working with. These are all people who are at the beginning of their business journey and are ready to grow. Each will receive tailored learning and mentoring support from Crafty Fox Market Members and our team. The Step Up cohort will also be trading with us at our Sample & Seconds Sale at the National Theatre on 16th August, so come along and meet them in person!

Feast of Flora

Feast of Flora sells one-of-a-kind homeware pieces. Kat revamps items – such as coasters, picture frames, mirrors and boxes – usually found in charity shops and brings them back to life through colour and pattern.

Julia Apter

Julia makes unique jewellery using intricate weaving techniques, turning tiny glass beads into colourful statement pieces. Through her use of ceramic and glass charms, Julia creates unique jewellery that’s totally customisable.

Just Kayin

Aimi makes small-batch, handmade accessories and wellness items using Malaysian batik fabric. The word kain (pronounced “kaa-yin”) means fabric or cloth in Malay and everything Aimi makes is an effort to bring Malaysian textiles into the modern home.

Jen Louise Meyer

Jen is a bookbinder and printmaker who crafts the most beautiful sketchbooks. Working with lino, she carves and handprints original designs which not only feature on the covers of her books, but also on art prints to decorate your home. Alongside this, Jen offers workshops, teaching others the techniques she uses to make her products.

Ami Sami

Alina is an artist from Ukraine who designs stationery and illustrated products. Inspired by her own needs, she set out to design “the perfect sketchbook” that other artists could use and love. From there, Alina expanded into making journals based on things she’s genuinely passionate about (like mental health and books) and has recently branched out into stickers and bookmarks.

Studio Ashna

Studio Ashna is a South Asian-inspired print and homewares brand, currently focused on creating risograph art prints. Ashna’s designs draw inspiration from traditional practices such as pichwai painting and block printing, and feature cultural motifs like the beloved mango fruit, surya (sun), Indian florals and patterns. At its core, Studio Ashna is about bringing colour, joy and a sense of cultural storytelling into everyday spaces.

Munky & Bee

Ines makes eco-friendly food toys using premium wool felt. The inspiration behind Munky & Bee were Ines’ two children. Seeing her son’s imagination “run with it as he created his own little worlds” with her handmade toys made Ines want to create a similar immersive experience for other families. Her market stall is often set up like a real fruit and veg stall - great fun for all the family!

Sharolta Jewels

For Sarolta, jewellery is more than decoration; it’s a way to express something personal. She finds endless inspiration in experimenting with precious metals, gemstones, new tools and techniques. Sarolta’s goal with every piece is to create something unique, uplifting, rustic and, at the same time, modern. Since every piece of jewellery is made by hand, each one has its own character - no two are exactly the same.

My Lucky Charm

My Lucky Charm is a collection of handcrafted beaded treasures inspired by mid-century design, symbolic motifs and talismanic forms. Esther’s beaded jewellery, bag charms and small decorative trinkets all begin as a paper collage or sketch, allowing her to explore colour, shape and composition before translating the concept into intricate beadwork. Esther often makes custom pieces to give them an even more individual meaning.

Whatizmade

Whatizmade was created as a means for Izati and her sisters to share their makes and crafts across different timezones. Now, she designs and makes her own punch needle coasters that mean anyone can give their decor a dose of dopamine! Recently, Izati has also started making alphabet key charms.

Making SAGAK

Making SAGAK is Minji Kim’s handmade stationery and paper craft brand. Notebooks, boxes and pencil cases are all lovingly and intentionally made using traditional bookbinding and cartonnage techniques, with papers sourced from independent British designers. Minji is currently developing her own hand-marbled papers to incorporate into the collection, bringing an additional layer of originality to each piece.
