Hello, I'm Shona - 'Bob and Bee' is just me and my love for illustrating and printing funny little creatures and their worlds.
What do I make? I create digital illustrations and turn them into Risograph prints and cards. I love the Risograph printing process and use the one at my local workspace, Intra Arts, in Rochester. I enjoy working with the limited palette and vibrant colours of soy-based Risograph inks. Each print comes out as one of a kind, with tiny imperfections, and gorgeous textures.
I want everyone to love these bugs, birds and beasts as much as I do. Especially the tiny little (unsung) superheroes who decompose the detritus around them. These guys are sometimes slimy, often pretty gross (rotten corpse for lunch, anyone!), and a little wiggly - but all vitally important. And the ones I draw are pretty darn cute! Let's get more slugs, beetles, worms and funny fungi on people's walls.
