Hello I'm Hepzi, I'm an actor and potter based in London. I create functional pieces that are designed to be part of everyday life. Working primarily on the wheel, each piece is thrown and finished by hand in my London studio, where the focus is on both form and feeling.
My practice is rooted in the energy of making — the energy behind the marks we make and the breath that goes into throwing on the wheel. I’m particularly drawn to colour and the way it feeling and personality in functional objects. Rather than creating perfectly matching sets, I enjoy building cohesive collections: pieces that may differ slightly in tone, pattern, or form, but still feel like they belong together, like a family.
My aim is to create ceramics that bring joy to everyday routines — pieces that transform simple moments, like a morning coffee or shared meal, into small celebrations, reminding us to appreciate the beauty and presence within ordinary life. They are one of a kind pieces but made for your everyday uses.
