I carve my jewellery designs from wax, with reference to an array of artefacts, and then they’re cast into recycled metals, to become chunky treasures to wear in our everyday. I started making jewellery because I wanted to wear ancient world designs and antiques treasures from museum collections, but I couldn’t (and for good reason!), so, I taught myself how to make it!
I use synthetic gemstones to create one off Treasure Rings, and reclaimed semi-precious stones to create textural charm necklaces, cluttered in amulets, histories, and vivid colours. I always bring my full hoard to in-person events, and my work will be evolving over the next year, and I can’t wait to bring new sculptures out into the world.
