Hello, I'm Yoshi, the maker behind NyankoPots, a one-person ceramics studio in London making handmade pottery for cat lovers. Every piece is thrown or hand-built, then finished with hand-painted or hand-carved detail — a small cat perching on a cup, or drawn across a mug, always something tactile to notice as you drink.
My own cat is the quiet inspiration behind many of my grumpy-cat designs. Years ago, I started making small clay cats to remember my elderly cats before they passed — I haven't stopped since.
I sell mostly at markets, where I love hearing customers' own pet stories, and through my online shop. Some pieces, like the ginger grater, came from solving a problem for myself first.
Every piece is handmade in small batches, with natural variation from one to the next. I hope one of these pieces finds a home with you.
