Outlined by Earnshaw is an illustration and painting studio founded by artist Charly Earnshaw, specialising in bespoke, story-driven artwork created to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. At the heart of the brand is the idea of the “outline” - outlining a story, a journey or a memory through carefully considered line, colour and composition.
My work centres around three main commission types:
'A Day to Remember' captures milestone moments such as weddings, anniversaries and celebrations, bringing together venues, people and details into one cohesive illustration.
'A Place and Time' focuses on meaningful locations - first homes, favourite streets, holiday spots or places tied to special memories. 'Layers of Life' takes a more abstract approach, combining places lived, passions and milestones into bold, overlapping painted compositions.
With a background in architecture, I bring structure and spatial understanding to each piece, balancing this with warmth and emotion. Clients provide photographs, locations and personal details, which are then thoughtfully interpreted into one-of-a-kind artworks. Alongside commissions, I also produce a growing collection of prints and greeting cards inspired by everyday moments, all illustrated, printed and finished with care.
