The Floating Jeweller

Jewellery/Gift cards

Hayley Ann Hasseläng is a Yorkshire-born jewellery artist and multidisciplinary designer who lives and works aboard her narrowboat, which serves as both home and creative sanctuary. Raised amongst the rolling hills, ancient trees, stone walls, and wild coastlines of Yorkshire, her creative language was shaped early by deep immersion in nature. Long walks through forests, waterfalls, and open landscapes instilled a lasting love for organic textures and elemental forms, influences that continue to guide her work today.

With a foundation in Design, Hayley trained across multiple disciplines including metalwork, ceramics, textiles, and wood. After completing her degree, she undertook a transformative year-long course in India, an experience that profoundly shaped her approach to making, ritual, and material connection.

Her jewellery sits at the intersection of austere form and organic expression, created with the belief that adornment can act as a personal talisman, holding memory, intention, and meaning. Each handcrafted piece is designed to feel alive, honouring individuality while transforming everyday wear into something sacred.

Now navigating the UK’s canals and rivers, Hayley’s work is continually influenced by the rhythm of water and shifting landscapes. This nomadic practice, paired with meticulous craftsmanship, results in jewellery that feels both ancient and contemporary, grounded, mystical, and deeply personal.
