The Hummingbird Archives are a Sheffield based brand who design and make colourful jewellery and accessories from leather offcuts. Utilising geometric shapes and bold colours to create fun and striking pieces. Taking inspiration from interior design, textiles and nature; the eye-catching designs are joyful and stylish. With a strong focus on earrings, I also make necklaces, wall hangings and kinetic mobiles from wire and leather.
Working exclusively with repurposed and waste leather sourced from a range of places; such as offcuts from other makers, old upholstery sample books and donated materials. All the designs are really lightweight and comfortable to wear yet also strong and long lasting. Using offcuts not only reduces waste but also means there is a limited amount of each colour. This keeps things fresh and exciting as the jewellery is made in small batches and some pieces are one-offs. Custom colours and bespoke pieces are available.
