Join us for spring time fun at Mercato Metropolitano on Sat 6th and Sun 7th April.

We host a free, drop-in workshop at each event from 11am - 2pm followed by a ticketed workshop in the afternoon.

Workshops on Saturday 6th April:
Collage Nostalgia with artist Naomi Vona. Free Workshop (11am - 2pm):
Join the Italian artist Naomi Vona for a Saturday afternoon of collage fun.The event will be focused on altering by hand vintage portraits, and to give a brand new life to these forgotten memories. The artist will lead the workshop offering guidance and knowledge of her processes and techniques for manipulating images. A variety of unusual colourful materials will be provided, including vintage photographs and postcards. We encourage you to bring your own photographs and memories to customise as well.

Make a felt flower pennant with Little Dot Loves. 2.30 - 4.00pm. £17 + booking. TICKETS
With each ticket, you will receive all the materials you need to make and finish a felt flower pennant and also have useful templates to take home!

The lovely Kate & Camila will guide you through the creative process and then you can experiment with colours, shapes and designing your pennant. Hang at home or gift to a friend?

Feminist Embroidery Workshop with Niamh from Wimperis Embroidery. 2.30 - 4.00pm. £30 + booking. TICKETS
Always wanted to try embroidery but don't know where to start?

In this Feminist Embroidery Workshop Niamh will teach you five key stitches that can be used in lots of different ways. She’s designed three new patterns for you to choose from, "feminist", "grow", and "shine". This is a 2 hours workshop, and you'll get to keep your work, including your own 4" Elbese embroidery hoop.

This is an all gender, all age, all ability workshop, so please, come along and discover how brilliant embroidery is!
